Meaning Behind the Piece:
This painting did not begin with an idea. It began with a feeling I could not shake, a quiet ache to rise above the weight of everything uncertain, to remember what it feels like to breathe into possibility when the future looks grey.
Touch the Sky is a painting about hope as a physical experience. The golds that move through the surface carry the warmth of a sunrise after a long stretch of overcast days. The blues open outward like air, like the particular feeling of standing somewhere high and realising the sky is larger than you had been letting yourself believe. Her eyes are closed, not in fear, but in trust. In the active decision to lift her face to whatever is coming.
She belongs to the Limitless Women universe as a portrait of becoming: the identity of the woman who is still reaching, who has not stopped believing that something more is possible even when the evidence around her is mixed. That is not naivety.
That is one of the most courageous things a person can choose. This is not a painting about escaping where you are. It is about becoming light enough to move. About letting go of the weight that was never yours to carry and discovering, with some surprise, that you were always able to rise. The sky was never out of reach. This painting is the reminder.
This painting exists only once and will never be recreated.

About the Painting Process
About the Painting Process
Each of my paintings is created through layers of mixed media, allowing colour, texture, and mark making to evolve naturally over time. I work intuitively, responding to what the painting begins to reveal rather than forcing it into a predetermined outcome.
Because of this layered process, every piece carries subtle details that continue to reveal themselves over time.
Where This Piece Belongs
Where This Piece Belongs
This painting works beautifully in spaces where art is meant to be felt rather than simply noticed, above a console table, in a living room, or in a quiet reading corner where colour and presence can anchor the space.
Seen Up Close
Seen Up Close
In person the surface carries far more depth than photographs can capture. Subtle textures, layered colour transitions, and small marks appear differently as light moves across the canvas throughout the day.
