Meaning Behind the Piece:
Limitless reflects the idea of stepping beyond the boundaries that are often placed around who we are allowed to be.
The figure in the painting appears to open outward rather than remain contained. Colour moves freely across her form, with sweeping blues, soft whites, and expressive marks that refuse to stay within rigid edges. These movements are not decorative choices but visual expressions of expansion and possibility.
The florals emerging from her gaze suggest growth and becoming. They symbolise the moment when a person begins to recognise that their potential is not fixed or limited by expectations. Instead, it continues to evolve as they allow themselves to explore, create, and live more fully.
The layered marks created with palette knife and brush reinforce this idea. They reflect a process guided less by strict control and more by trust in instinct, mirroring the way real growth often happens when we stop trying to fit inside predetermined shapes.
Limitless honours the quiet realisation that we are never meant to remain small. It speaks to the freedom that appears when someone allows themselves to expand into who they truly are, without asking permission or justification.

Each of my paintings is created through layers of mixed media, allowing colour, texture, and mark making to evolve naturally over time. I work intuitively, responding to what the painting begins to reveal rather than forcing it into a predetermined outcome.
Because of this layered process, every piece carries subtle details that continue to reveal themselves over time.

Because I work with oil over layered mixed media, some newer paintings require additional time in the studio before they are ready to travel, to ensure the surface arrives with you in perfect condition.
