Meaning Behind the Piece:

I sat with this painting longer than any other in this collection before I could find the words for it. Not because the meaning was unclear, but because the meaning was so close to me that I had to give myself space before I could speak about it honestly. This painting is the one that broke something open in my studio. The one I kept coming back to. The one I could not rush.

She holds her baby in her arms, and her face is tilted upward, toward her dreams, toward the full and unedited horizon of her own life. That is the whole painting, and everything within it exists to say what that single image means. She is holding the most tender thing she has ever been entrusted with, and she is still reaching. Both things, right now, in this exact moment, completely, without apology and without waiting until things are easier or the baby is older or the right time finally arrives. She is not choosing between the love she feels and the life she is still becoming. She never had to. Infinite World is the final painting in The Infinite Mind collection, and it is the most personally significant work I have ever made. The Limitless Women universe was built on one belief, that women were never supposed to choose between the identities they carry. Every painting in this collection explored a different dimension of that truth, and then this one arrived as the last word, saying the most important thing of all. She does not have to put herself down to pick her child up. She does not have to stop dreaming to be a mother. She does not become less of herself to make room for the greatest love of her life. She holds both. She always was both. This painting is the largest in the collection, and the scale was not incidental. Some truths need room. Some statements cannot be made small.

This painting is for every woman who has ever been told, in words or in silence, that becoming a mother would be the end of something, that the arrival of a child meant the retirement of ambition, the quieting of creativity, the gradual disappearance of the woman she was before. It is for the one who nodded along and then felt the wrongness of it settle in her chest like a stone. For the one who loves her child with everything she has and still, quietly, privately, keeps her hand on the door of her own becoming. For the one who has been made to feel that those two things are in tension, when they never were. Infinite World is the most emphatic answer I know how to give to all of that. She is not the end of anything. She is the proof that the most expansive, generous, life-changing love a woman can experience does not shrink her. It reveals just how infinite she already was.

This painting exists only once and will never be recreated.

About the Painting Process

Each of my paintings is created through layers of mixed media, allowing colour, texture, and mark making to evolve naturally over time. I work intuitively, responding to what the painting begins to reveal rather than forcing it into a predetermined outcome.

Because of this layered process, every piece carries subtle details that continue to reveal themselves over time.

Where This Piece Belongs

This painting works beautifully in spaces where art is meant to be felt rather than simply noticed, above a console table, in a living room, or in a quiet reading corner where colour and presence can anchor the space.

Seen Up Close

In person the surface carries far more depth than photographs can capture. Subtle textures, layered colour transitions, and small marks appear differently as light moves across the canvas throughout the day.
