Meaning Behind the Piece:
Everbloom carries the idea of continuing to bloom through every season of life, even as our bodies grow and change along with us.
There is something wonderfully open about her. With her arms raised and her body completely visible, she feels comfortable taking up her space. To me, she represents the freedom that can come when we begin letting go of the idea that our bodies need to remain a certain way for us to feel beautiful within them.
Because our bodies are never really finished. They soften, strengthen, stretch, age and carry the marks of the lives we have lived. So often we are taught to fear those changes, as though becoming different somehow means becoming less. Everbloom came from wanting to see those changes another way, as part of being alive, and part of a body that continues to carry us forward.
The flowers blooming across her reflect that same sense of life and change. There is no single moment when we reach our most beautiful version and then spend the rest of our lives trying to hold onto her. We are allowed to keep becoming, and there can be beauty in every version along the way.
Everbloom is for the woman learning to embrace the body she has today, and to remember that changing, growing and becoming have never made her any less worthy of feeling beautiful.
This painting exists only once and will never be recreated.

About the Painting Process
About the Painting Process
Each of my paintings is created through layers of mixed media, allowing colour, texture, and mark making to evolve naturally over time. I work intuitively, responding to what the painting begins to reveal rather than forcing it into a predetermined outcome.
Because of this layered process, every piece carries subtle details that continue to reveal themselves over time.
Where This Piece Belongs
Where This Piece Belongs
This painting works beautifully in spaces where art is meant to be felt rather than simply noticed, above a console table, in a living room, or in a quiet reading corner where colour and presence can anchor the space.
Seen Up Close
Seen Up Close
In person the surface carries far more depth than photographs can capture. Subtle textures, layered colour transitions, and small marks appear differently as light moves across the canvas throughout the day.
